Space exploration at the Science Museum
Last week, Year 8 pupils went on an educational field trip to the Science Museum in London. The pupils are currently completing a space physics module, so the trip was a great opportunity for them to explore this subject in more detail. Pupils had the opportunity to view and interact with science exhibits and experiments, providing a tangible and engaging environment for learning. The day was spent looking at various spacecraft and astrophysical equipment from past, present and future space exploration.
At the end of the day, pupils took part in an interactive Virtual Reality experience provided British astronaut, Tim Peake; which they really enjoyed.
Overall it was a very successful trip. Pupil, Ky said “visiting the Science Museum is an interesting and entertaining way to learn about astronomy and space.”
