Elite Skills Academy

The Ministry of Defence Elite Skills Academy Schools Outreach Team visited YPA and talked to students about careers in the British Army. The event was run by military personnel who not only spoke to our students but also ran a series of confidence building activities aimed at building skills in employability, discipline, teamwork and problem solving.

Students found the day really good fun and their feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Several students said as a result their views on the army had changed and they would be interested in finding out more about careers that might be available to them when they leave school.

YPA has a good understanding and built a rapport with my son. He has been happy and well cared for to the point where he has met his full potential and thrived. The right balance and structure has provided for my son’s complex needs. Thank you for your continuous support.  Parent
