Graffik Art Gallery

English and Art students along with staff had an amazing experience at the Graffik Art Gallery in Portabello Road, West London. We donned our overalls and masks and had a great time in the workshop, working alongside graffiti artists to create our own stencils and amazing canvases using the spray paint techniques we had learnt. We also got to see some original art work and prints by some famous artists including Banksy and Mr. Brainwash.

It was great to embed creative art skills coupled with the understanding of how street gangs use graffiti tags on streets as a form of communication; linked to the Year 10 English text ‘Grass’ by Cathy MacPhail.

YPA has a good understanding and built a rapport with my son. He has been happy and well cared for to the point where he has met his full potential and thrived. The right balance and structure has provided for my son’s complex needs. Thank you for your continuous support.  Parent
