Laurie Cornwell appointed to Deputy CEO of Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust

The OHC&AT Board of Directors and some of our pupils, students and staff carried out a competitive Executive Head Teacher/Deputy CEO recruitment and selection process in May. Laurie Cornwell, who is currently Executive Head of Young People’s Academy and The Skills Hub, was successful and will start this new role on 1st September 2019.

Laurie said “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Executive Principal at TSH and YPA. Having the opportunity to work with such inspiring young people has been an honour and a privilege. Whilst saddened to be moving on I am comforted by the fact that I will still be working closely with both schools and will still have many opportunities to see our students  progress.”

YPA has a good understanding and built a rapport with my son. He has been happy and well cared for to the point where he has met his full potential and thrived. The right balance and structure has provided for my son’s complex needs. Thank you for your continuous support.  Parent
