The Jack Petchey Award Scheme

Achievement Awards

Almost 2,000 schools, colleges and youth organisations throughout London and Essex run the scheme, which contributes millions of pounds each year. The scheme is a reward and recognition initiative which enables schools and youth organisations to celebrate the achievements of their young people as well as receive additional funding.

What has the money been spent on so far?

Students and staff have used the money from the Jack Petchey Achievement Award to benefit the whole school community in lots of ways, including:

  • A trip to Thorpe Park for staff and students
  • 4 scooters for use at break and lunchtimes
  • Absolutely Karting trip for staff and students with bowling and Pizza Hut…..YUM!
  • Fishing trip for staff and students followed by a meal at Pizza Hut!
  • Trip to the London Bridge Experience and the London Tombs for staff and students
  • Indoor goals and indoor/outdoor footballs
  • Lightbox for Art classes
  • Skateboards and safety equipment
  • Resources for the Blue room

YPA has a good understanding and built a rapport with my son. He has been happy and well cared for to the point where he has met his full potential and thrived. The right balance and structure has provided for my son’s complex needs. Thank you for your continuous support.  Parent
