Year 11s planning for their futures

Two of our Year 11 students, George and Joe, enjoyed a visit to Uxbridge College’s open evening to find out more about the courses available, to meet the staff team, and to see if they would be interested in applying.

They both had a great time and took a lot away from the event. They met tutors from the Mechanics and Public Services departments and asked lots of questions about the courses. Both students felt positive and enthused about the visit and George applied for the mechanics course the next day! Joe is interested in public services, in particular the fire service, so he now has a plan to find out more about the different services before deciding which direction to embark upon.

Teacher, Ms Marryshow, said:

“It was so encouraging to see our Year 11 students thinking about their next steps. They’re taking ownership of their futures and are ready to start laying the foundations to make their goals a reality.”

YPA has a good understanding and built a rapport with my son. He has been happy and well cared for to the point where he has met his full potential and thrived. The right balance and structure has provided for my son’s complex needs. Thank you for your continuous support.  Parent
